Emergency First Aid at Work – Including Paediatric Element

• The role of the first aider
• Importance of preventing cross infection
• The need for recording incidents and actions
• Use of available equipment
• Assessing the situation & act safely in an emergency
• Administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is:
  • unconscious (including seizures)
  • choking
  • wounded or bleeding
  • suffering from shock
• Provide appropriate first aid for Minor Injuries (small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns, scalds & small splinters)

Additional Subjects

• Administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation to a child
• Recognition and management of Asthma
• Recognition and management of Anaphylaxis
• Recognition and management of Diabetes
• Administer first aid to a child who is:
  • unconscious (including seizures)
  • choking

Duration: one-day (7 hours). Successful candidates will be awarded the FRFA Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work Including Paediatric Element certificate valid for 3 years

This also makes us flexible with time, and we will work around your schedule, even if you need training on the weekends.
